1975: Founding of SFP and ‘Création Audiovisuelles’ after the breakup of ORTF in 1974.
As a private-sector limited company financed primarily by the state, SFP benefits from a system of obligatory commissions from French television stations. The company employs 3,000 permanent members of staff.
SFP buys a property at Les Buttes Chaumont and also rents a property at la Maison de la Radio, in the Francoeur studios, on rue Cognac-Jay at Joinville, and at Issy-les-Moulineaux, for its mobile video unit.
SFP moves into the Théâtre de l’Empire: a prestigious studio in heart of Paris.
